Our client is a nationally respected provider of health, science, and technology solutions supporting clients in the government and commercial sectors. They provide comprehensive enterprise information technology, strategic sourcing, and management solutions to DoD and federal civilian agencies in 40 states.  

Position Summary  

Our client is currently seeking a skilled Automated QA Tester to support one of the technical projects with the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). This project represents a multi-year effort for IT Modernization and Transformation requiring tested, secure, and hardened software solutions. The ideal candidate should be able to create automated test scripts to run tests on developed software applications, and review and analyze results for integration, regression, performance, and user testing activities.  

Primary Responsibilities  

  • Interacting with the customer and/or project team to gain an understanding of the application requirements and conformance criteria  
  • Developing and executing test plans  
  • Writing and executing test scripts (both manual and automated) 
  • Developing comprehensive automated testing frameworks and solutions  
  • Automate application functionality, integration, and regression tests  
  • Integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline  
  • Analyzing and testing through all software development life-cycle stages
  • Supporting an agile incremental delivery approach  
  • Provide regular updates on testing progress, issues, and results to project stakeholders  

Requirements

Education, Certifications and Years of Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with 
  • 4+ years of relevant experience.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Expert proficiency in designing, developing, and maintaining automation test suites using frameworks like Selenium, Katalon, and JUNIT/TestNG for cross-browser testing
  • Proficiency with programming languages like Java, JavaScript, and Python to write automation test scripts and develop test frameworks
  • Able to perform both Frontend (UI) and Backend (API, database, and server-side) testing
  • Strong SQL familiarity for data validation in the database (Postgres) during testing
  • Experience working in a CI/CD DevSecOps environment with Jira, Confluence and Jenkins
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Be willing and able to mentor others, and exhibit demonstrated excellent customer service skills

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to read and understand Jenkins Groovy scripts
  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner)
  • API Testing using RestEasy, Postman, or Insomnia 
  • Experience working with SoapUI
  • Experience working with Katalon – Web, API
  • Experience creating/working with test automation environments (e.g. Jenkins, Selenium Grid container)
  • Familiar with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket, etc.)
  • 508 Testing Certification

Benefits

Compensation

  • Salary Range: $80,000 - $115,000. 

The salary range for this position is determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, qualifications, skill level, and location. The final salary offer will fall within this range and will be commensurate with the candidate’s background and the specific demands of the role.

Physical Demands

This position primarily involves sedentary work in an office or remote setting. The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers to operate computers and related equipment, and communicate verbally and in writing. Occasional lifting and carrying of equipment up to 25 pounds may be required. The role may also involve bending, reaching, or kneeling when setting up or troubleshooting hardware. Visual acuity is necessary for prolonged use of computer monitors and diagnosing technical issues.
